Mountain skills and Wild Camping Weekend

This wild camping and mountain skills adventure will take us on a journey through the Carnedau Mountain range one of the wildest corners of Snowdonia a true wilderness experience with breathtaking mountains views, high ridges, magical landscapes, deep valleys and some of the highest peaks Snowdonia has to offer.

This mountain skills weekend will equip you with all the skills required to hike and wild camp in the UK mountains all year round.

We will learn, kit choice, weather, route planning, navigation, wild camping skills, environment, risk assessment, food and nutrition, hazards and emergency procedures.

You will need to make yourself available for our pre-trip meeting, this is to make sure you have an understanding of what is expected for the weekend and that you are well prepared.

Friday:- Leaving early Friday to meet in the Siabod Cafe for lunch and a pre-trip brief before driving to the start point for our hiking adventure, late afternoon we will head into the remote Carnedau Mountain range to camp at a secret pool 3hrs hiking

Saturday:- We have plenty of route choices and this is dependant on the weather, we can go high to bag a peak or two if the weather allows or stay low if necessary, wild camping in a remote mountain environment. 6-8 hrs hiking

Sunday:- Today we make our way back to the valley, again with plenty of route choices 5 hrs hiking. Lunch and debrief at the Siobod Cafe, before driving home due back in London around 8 pm

COST: £200 payable on RSVP.

INCLUDES: 3 guided days hiking 2 nights wild camping with ML qualified instructor, 5:1 ratio Pre-trip meeting and planning evening, instruction.

NOT INCLUDED: Transport, (car share, post below) food, drinks, tents, stoves etc available to lend
