Deep in the far eastern corner of Russia lies one of the worlds best-kept secrets the isolated peninsula of Kamchatka half a million square kilometres of pristine wilderness, a Jurassic land dominated by volcanoes and magnificent geological formations.

Our adventure leads us deep into the alien landscape of the Nalychevo Park, and UNESCO World Heritage Site, through colourful beech forests and arctic tundra to see beautiful waterfalls, smoking snow-capped volcanoes, rivers, lakes and the mighty peak of Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4835 m.) – the highest active volcano of Eurasia and the highest high peak of Russia outside of the Caucasus.

The area is a haven for wildlife, eagles, brown bear, reindeer, moose and wolf. We relax in hot springs, camp in remote wilderness locations sit by warming campfires and may have a chance to see a unique light show with the night sky lit up by spitting red lava.

GRADE: This trip is graded HARD and is open to strong hikers used to full days out in the mountains and wild camping in tough conditions, carrying a full backpack with food/tents/stoves/sleeping bags approx 14k-16kg if you have any questions about your suitability phone Gary 07968585224
