Ben Nevis winter ascent and winter skills four day weekend – [WKE]

Our very popular Winter Skills Weekend is the perfect quick hit to give you all the skills and confidence you require to travel in the winter mountains. we aim to provide you with experience of using all of the skills required for Ice Axe and Crampon use, Winter Navigation and Avalanche Awareness and Avoidance. We will combine the training of these skills with some great days out on the hill. This weekend will suit anyone looking to take their hillwalking to the next level.

Thursday: fly London to Glasgow, 11:00 private transfer to our hostel, kit check, and pre-trip brief, weather forecast, avalanche forecast, trip planning.

Friday: we will cover basic winter skills using ice axe and crampons.

Saturday: if the group is capable and the weather allows, we will tackle a winter ascent of Ben Nevis we may be able to traverse the mountain via the classic Carn Mor Dearg Arete.

Sunday: gives us plenty of opportunities to choose a smaller objective to consolidate our skills before flying back to London, drop off 17:30 Glasgow airport.

Your money is protected under the travel and package regulations.

Included: Return transport from Glasgow and throughout the weekend, three nights dormitory accommodation, three breakfasts, three lunches, guided hikes and instruction.

Not Included: evening meals, snacks, flights from London, up lift.

There are flights available with budget airlines from all London airports If you choose to travel to and from a different airport you will have to arrive in Glasgow and Leave Glasgow outside of the times of the recommended flights

As with all outdoor events the itinerary is weather dependant, if the weather does not allow an ascent of Ben Nevis we will find an alternative hiking itinerary.
