This pleasant walk leads us through a beautiful slice of the Surrey hills an area of delightful medieval hamlets and grand manor houses steeped with history, we pass the Horsley Towers an elegant 19-century house extensively remodelled in several architectural styles by William King first Earl of Lovelace, to cross pretty meadows and pass under the charming Lovelace Bridges.

The trail leads through enchanted woodlands to the pretty Saxon church of St Mary’s passing through Yew tree hollows and the distinctive timber manor, West Horsley House. We finish at Horsley Station where you are welcome to join us for food and drink or take the train back to London.

MEETING TIME: 11:00 Horsley Station

Trains from London Waterloo, 09:57 changing at Surbiton 10:25 arriving Horsley 10:53 Journey time 56 mins. Walk finishes approx 16:30

COST: £10 organiser fee on RSVP.

Train tickets are not included, approx £14:60pp

GRADE: Beginner 16km 10m 4.5 hrs hiking 280m ascent. This trail is on footpaths and tracks through woodland, meadows and undulating countryside. Walk finishes approx 16:30.

WALK STARTS: 11:00, Horsley Station.

LUNCH: Pack lunch on route

ESTIMATED FINISH: 16:30, at Horsley Station.
