CANCELLED The Thames Path, Windsor Great Park and Windsor Castle

CANCELLED due to COVID 19

This leisurely hike takes us from Windsor Datchet Station and follows the Thames Path to Albert Bridge, where the path crosses the Thames and continues to Magna Carta Island and the Magana Carta monument.

We head over Coopers Hill passing the JFK memorial to enter Windsor Great Park via Bishops Gate, the path takes us past the Royal Lodge and Snow Hill topped by the iconic Statue of King George III where we have commanding views over the Great Park and the Castle.

Joining the Long Walk we follow avenues of trees to Windsor Castle, from here you are welcome to join us for a drink and some food or take the train back to London.

Meeting Point: 09:45 London Paddington Station, by the ticket office near the departure boards. We will be taking the 10:16 train to Windsor and Eaton Central arriving at 10:58 journey time 42mins. Walk finishes approx 16:30

Cost £8 organiser fee payable on RSVP.

Train tickets are not included, available on the day approx £7.75pp group saver, please arrive prompt and bring the correct cash if you want to be included in group tickets.

Grade: Beginner/intermediate 16km 10m 140m ascent 4.5hrs hiking time on easy paths and park tracks. Walk finishes approx 16:30
