Midweek Stroll, Grand Union Canal and the River Brent
This is green walk takes us from Boston Manor Station to join the Grand Union Canal at Osterley Lock, we follow the canal towpath to the six Locks of the Hanwell flight which takes the canal up 16m.
From here we join the River Brent and pass under the historic stone Hanwell Bridge built in 1762 and continue through Brent Meadow to The Hobbayne and the impressive Wharncliffe Viaduct built in 1838 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
We continue along the River to Brent Valley Park and Nature Retreat into the green spaces of Perevill Park to finish at Greenford where you are welcome to join us for a drink or return home.
