Maidenhead to Windsor Thames Walk – Beginners Level

For those of you rsvp’d please ensure you wear a good pair of hiking boots as will be muddy due to recent flooding, and also bring waterproofs as some rain is forecast.

Join us for a pretty spring, historic river walk.

We’ll take a leisurely walk along the Thames from Maidenhead to Windsor (about 8 miles), via Dorney Lake, where we’ll stop for coffee.

On arrival in Windsor, we’ll have time to enjoy the historic sights in this royal town.

MEETING TIME: Paddington Station outside the main ticket office at 10:00. I will be holding a meetup sign we will take the 10:36train from Paddington which arrives at Maidenhead 11:16. Due back in London 18:00

COST: organiser fee £8 pay on rsvp.

Train tickets are your own responsibility and can be bought on the day £10.30 pp for a group travelling together. Please arrive on time to join a group to buy discounted tickets (full price ticket £12.80)

GRADE: Beginner, riverside paths, flat, possibly muddy, please wear good pair of hiking boots and bring warm layers and waterproofs.

Please bring a packed lunch. We’ll also stop for coffee in the afternoon.
