Afternoon bimble along the mighty Thames- Kew Bridge to Twickenham
Let’s have an easy ramble along the leafy avenue alongside the Thames River. This is a great way to spend your afternoon exploring bits of London that you haven’t bothered to check out. Known locally as the “Arcadian Thames”, we’ll pass the massive Syon House, skirt along Kew Gardens, view the Palladium villa of Marble Hill House, and explore the Italian-style sculptures of York House gardens. Be prepared to hike about 6 miles/ 9.5km. This should take us about 2.5 hours.

Meet me outside of Kew Gardens station. I’ll be wearing a bright yellow dayglo shirt. Our hike will take us to the ‘burb of Twickenham, where there is a well-connected rail station and a couple of riverside pubs if you are in need of refreshment.
