Sevenoaks Circular- A Spectacular Kentish Countryside ramble

It’s the last day of summer! Join us for a lovely walk in the Kent countryside. There will be deer parks and an enormous Tudor castle and an old moated manor house as we follow the wooded ridge of the Greensand Way. Pastoral countryside views and fresh air await us.

WALK DETAILS: 10 miles (17 km) on footpaths with some hills and probably a fair share of mud if it has rained. This is a circular walk, so we will end up back in Sevenoaks at hike’s end.

The day before the walk, I will send out an email with my contact info and any other information you might need. Please note- the meeting time may vary slightly due to the uncertainty of the train schedule more than a week in advance.

GRADE: Beginner/intermediate 10 miles. Approx 4.5 hrs hiking time on easy paths and park tracks. Some rolling hills but nothing too strenuous. Walk finishes approx 16:30

MEETING POINT: Due to Covid, we can not travel together and organise group train tickets at this time. Meet me outside of Sevenoaks station at 10:15 am. I’ll be dressed for hiking and wearing a day-glo yellow shirt.
There is a train that leaves London Charing Cross at 9:45 that will get you there in good time. There is also a train that leaves London Victoria at 9:14 that arrives at about the same time if that is an easier option for you. There is also the station car park nearby if you choose to drive.

COST £10 organiser fee payable on RSVP. We have temporarily raised the price of walks to be able to accommodate smaller groups. As soon as it is safe to take larger groups, we will re-asses our pricing. For this hike, I will be taking a maximum of 15.
